Three years ago I opened my Silhouette Cameo! I was a little scared! It can be intimidating at first because there are so many cut files and I just didn’t know where to start! The thing I wanted to know most is where to get free cut files! I wanted to know how to make my own SVG files /cut files! After a lot of research, I found out that with basic Silhouette Studio, you can trace PNG files or JPEG files. If you have a Cricut, you should get SVG files to open in their online design studio. Now, that you know what files you need for your cutting machine too, I’m going to make a list below at the absolute best places to find free svg files and free png/jpeg files!

Free SVG Files and Free PNG Files

1- The Hungry JPEG They have all sorts of cut files and downloadable fonts! Just hit the Freebie tab at the top of the page! They are all commercial use, so you can even cut them and put them on items to sell!

2- Craft Bundles This site is a sister site with Hungry JPEG, so click that Freebie button!

3- Design Bundles You can find all their free files on the left by clicking Free Designs

4- Font Bundles  This is for all the Silhouette users out there! They have so many free fonts and their so cute!

5- Creative Market They have so many cute things and will send you an email about their free designs!

6- So Fontsy  This was designed by the creator of Silhouette School. If you’ve ever googled Silhouette Machines, her blog posts always come up first! Melissa is awesome! She got together a bunch of awesome SVG file and Cut file designers to create So Fontsy. They have an amazing free section.

SVG Files and PNG/JPEG Files for less $$$

If you’re looking for something specific and you can’t find it for free, you should check So Fontsy and Etsy! I have an Etsy Shop where I post all my cut files for $1.50 a piece!
